・サボ / Sabot

足入れのしやすさと、革の表情を感じられる一足。
日常の中で気負わず履ける、程よいボリュームと安定感があります。

中敷はあえて設けず、
中底の釘留めや縫い目が見える仕様としています。

構造そのものが表に現れることで、
素材やつくりの輪郭を感じていただけます。

履き込む過程で、内部の釘がわずかに浮き出てくる場合がございます。
その際は、金槌などで軽く叩いていただくことで収まります。

履き始めはタイトに感じられる場合があります。
シューホーンをご使用のうえ、かかとを軽く押し込むように足入れしてください。
履くほどに足に馴染んでいきます。

※かかとを固定しない構造のため、長時間の歩行にはあまり適していません。
日常の短時間の移動や室内履きとしてのご使用をおすすめいたします。

A slip-on style that allows for easy wear while highlighting the character of the leather.
It offers a balanced volume and stability, making it easy to incorporate into everyday life.

The insole is intentionally omitted,
allowing the tacks and stitching of the insole board to remain visible.

This reveals the construction itself,
highlighting the materials and the making process.

With wear, the internal tacks may slightly become noticeable.
If this occurs, they can be gently tapped back into place with a hammer.

They may feel snug at first.
We recommend using a shoehorn and gently easing your heel into place.
With wear, they will gradually conform to your feet.

As the heel is not secured, they are not suitable for long periods of walking.
They are best suited for short periods of use or indoor wear.

・革について / About the Leather

本展示では、複数の革の中からお選びいただけます。
山羊、牛、馬それぞれに異なる質感と個性があり、

天然の染料・顔料を用いた手染めにより、
同じ革でも一つとして同じ表情はありません。
山羊黒を除き、いずれの革も染めや仕上げの工程により
色ムラや濃淡が生じます。

個体差としてあらかじめご了承ください。
仕上がりはお選びいただく革によって大きく変わります。

履き心地や経年変化の違いも含めて、お楽しみください。

You can choose from a selection of leathers for this exhibition.
Goat, cow, and horse leather each have distinct textures and characteristics.

Using natural dyes and pigments, every piece is hand-dyed,

resulting in no two leathers being exactly alike.
Except for goat black leather,

natural variations in color and tone will occur due to the dyeing and finishing process.

Please understand this as part of the material’s individuality.
The final appearance varies greatly depending on the leather you choose.

We hope you enjoy the differences in comfort and aging over time.

・革の種類 / Leather Variations

① 牛弁柄白 | cow bengara white
コシのある牛革に、弁柄の白を薄く重ねた一枚。

生成りの色味と塗りのムラが重なり、単一ではない白の表情を生み出します。
使用により弁柄は少しずつ落ち、下地の生成りが現れていきます。

革は経年で飴色へと変化し、奥行きが増していきます。
Firm cow leather lightly layered with white bengara (iron oxide pigment).

The base tone and uneven application create a nuanced, non-uniform white.
With use, the bengara layer gradually wears away, revealing the natural leather beneath.

Over time, it develops a warm amber tone and greater depth.

② 馬柿渋鉄黒 | horse kakishibu iron black
馬革に柿渋を重ね、鉄媒染で黒へと導いた仕上げ。

黒の中に茶の気配が残り、揺らぎのある奥行きを生み出します。
時間とともに艶が増し、色の層がより際立っていきます。
Horse leather layered with kakishibu and finished with iron mordant.

Subtle brown undertones remain within the black, creating depth and variation.
Over time, it develops luster and reveals its layered tones.

③ 馬柿渋茶灰 | horse kakishibu brown-gray
しなやかな馬革に柿渋を重ねた一枚。

ムラを含んだ茶がゆらぎながら現れ、素材の質感を引き立てます。
使い込むほどに艶が増し、色に深みが加わっていきます。
Supple horse leather layered with kakishibu.

Brown tones with natural variation emerge across the surface.
With use, it gains luster and deepens in color.

④ 山羊柿渋茶灰 | goat kakishibu brown-gray
自然なシボ感を持つ山羊革に、柿渋を幾重にも重ねた仕上げ。

茶から灰へと揺れる色のムラが、奥行きのある表情をつくります。
時間とともにコントラストがなじみ、色に厚みが増していきます。
Goat leather with an organic grain, layered repeatedly with kakishibu.

The uneven dye shifts between brown and gray, creating depth and variation.
Over time, the contrast softens and the color gains density.

⑤ 山羊柿渋薄 | goat kakishibu light
自然なシボ感のある山羊革に、ごく薄く柿渋を重ねた一枚。

素地とのコントラストとムラが現れ、軽やかで乾いた印象に仕上がっています。
使い込むほどに色味が深まり、艶が立ち上がってきます。
Goat leather with a naturally expressive grain, lightly layered with kakishibu.

Surface variation and contrast create a dry, airy impression.
With use, the color deepens and a subtle luster develops.

⑥ 山羊黒 | goat black
自然なシボ感を持つ山羊革。

手染めではない均一で深い黒の中に、わずかなムラと素材の表情が現れます。
使い込むほどに艶が増し、黒に奥行きが生まれていきます。
Goat leather with a naturally expressive grain.

A deep, even black—finished rather than hand-dyed.
With use, it develops a richer luster and depth.
